Café con Leche – Parent Meeting In Spanish Monday, October 28 6:00 p.m. Library

Information will be presented to families which include scholarships and grants, college admissions for post-secondary studies, as well as information on the branches of services.

Students are invited to decorate a pumpkin as their favorite book character. Awards will be given and based on originality, creativity and relevance to the book.

Families are invited to attend an exciting evening at school.  Teachers have planned hands on activities for families to enjoy together with their children.  The evening will conclude with a hot dog supper.

Tyler Museum of Art Exhibition Day of the Dead Celebration

Tyler Museum of Art at Tyler Junior College

 

Student artwork will be featuring the “Dia De La Muertos” (“Day of the Dead”) will be on display.  Art students have been working hard to produce festive, colorful pieces for this big event. Student art will be exhibited in the museum alongside famous “Dia de La Muetos” artwork from artists of Mexico.   The exhibit is free.

“Gone Dancing” Day

Students and staff will participate in a “Gone Dancing” Day in honor of their former teacher who passed away last year.  The event concludes the Pennies for Pasta campaign in which the teacher was a long time winner of the campus campaign.  Pasta for Pennies is a fund raiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).  The students and staff will celebrate the former teacher’s love for ballroom dancing as well as his contribution to the LLS each year.
